It is an independent and autonomous body established by Panchayat & Rural Development Department, Government of Assam.

A partnership with the Assam State Rural Livelihoods Mission (ASRLM) under the NRETP Incubator Program (an initiative of DAY-NRLM, Govt of India).

The MOU was officially signed by Smt. Krishna Baruah, ACS, State Mission Director, ASRLM.

Together, we are:

  • Strengthening networks of rural handloom and handicrafts enterprises

  • Supporting Self-Help Groups (SHGs), artisans, and grassroots entrepreneurs

  • Providing technical support, training, and market access

  • Propelling our initiatives with catalytic grant & soft loan support

This partnership enables us to amplify the voices and creations of rural artisans while staying true to our mission — celebrating tradition, ensuring sustainability, and empowering livelihoods.

A Collaborative endeavor of ``Forest Departement, Government of Assam`` and ``Agénce Française de Développement``.

Communicating Conservation through Craft

We’re thrilled to share our MoU with APFBC Society, Govt of Assam, signed at the Guwahati Production Cluster Society.

In partnership with APFBC-Communicating Conservation, we aim to:

  • Promote sustainable livelihoods for forest-dependent communities

  • Celebrate Assam’s biodiversity and rich cultural heritage

  • Encourage the production and promotion of handlooms, handicrafts, and Non-Timber Forest Produce (NTFPs)

  • Align economic activities with environmental stewardship and biodiversity restoration
